Lucas | One Year | Detroit Infant Photographer

I was lucky enough to see Lucas back for his one-year session and boy oh boy has he grown since his newborn session. I love this family! I have been photographing them since baby Lucas was in Mama’s belly and then his newborn session and now, he’s a year old!! Baby Lucas’s session was all about heritage and traditions for his one-year session. Baby’s dad is from Eastern Nigeria, from the Igbo tribe. The red hat that Lucas is wearing is part of a tradition and their culture. It symbolizes authority and chieftaincy. His outfit is called Ankara. It’s made of African prints and designs with different patterns. I was so honored that I was able to capture his one-year session and see his dad’s vision for it come to life.
