Metro Detroit Newborn Session: A Sweet Baby Boy to End 2024

As we closed out 2024, I had the pleasure of photographing one last newborn session that was truly unforgettable. This little guy was a dream! He was calm, content, and gave me the sweetest little smile during our time together. It’s always a special moment when a baby is so relaxed and willing to let me capture their tiny features, and this little one certainly did not disappoint.

His mom was a joy to work with. Mom had a clear vision for the colors she wanted to incorporate, asking for soft, neutral tones with hints of greens to complement the décor in their home. As a photographer, I always love when my clients share their vision for how they want the final images to feel. It’s important to me that the images we create together will blend seamlessly with their living space, so we carefully chose the perfect shades of green to keep things subtle yet timeless.

During the session, we made sure to highlight the baby’s most delicate features. Mom requested detailed shots of his little toes, hands, and ears—those tiny, perfect features that we want to remember forever. These are the moments that truly remind us how small and precious they are in their first days of life. And, of course, I made sure to capture a few more wide shots to showcase his serene little personality.

As time goes by, it’s these little details—his tiny hands, the curve of his little ears, and the peaceful expressions that will be cherished. It’s an honor to be the one to freeze these fleeting moments in time for parents to look back on as their little one grows.

This session was the perfect way to end my 2024 newborn photography journey, and I’m so grateful to have been a part of this sweet boy’s first memories. I can’t wait to see how he grows, and I hope his parents cherish these images for many years to come.
