Hell0, everyone! Thanks for stopping by my blog today – I’m glad to have you here!
I got to work with the sweetest little boy Steven for his three month portraits a few weeks ago. Our first attempt did not go as smoothly so we rescheduled and with our second attempt, he was dream! The happiest little 3 month old I’ve seen in while.
Steven’s mother, Melissa says he is gooing and gahhing like crazy in the last two weeks and laughing out loud! You can sure tell through his portraits that he was right on the cusp of starting to do that!
Three months old can be difficult age to photograph because they are no longer newborns and are realizing the world around him. Melissa had hopes of using lots of props, outfits and real staged photos however Steven had other plans for us and still his pictures came out beautiful.
Melissa has some great advice for moms coming into a portrait session, “Don’t stress out; baby senses it and follows suite. If it’s not meant to be then reschedule. Don’t force your baby.” The biggest tips she gives for moms, “stay relaxed and don’t force certain poses if baby isn’t having it, they’re comfortable in their own way and whatever pose, it’ll turn out great.” I can not agree more with Melissa and always stress to parents when sessions are not going as planned, that another day is probably going to work out more in there favor . I am always willing to accommodate that for a better session.
Enjoy a preview into handsome little Steven’s 3 month portraits!! We got some super special poses for Dad as well with the beautiful vintage antique tractors she brought out for props! When he get’s older, Dad has big plans to take him on riding on tractors!
