I recently had a fabulous session with the Mount family. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I truly have the best clients ever! This family was no exception, either. So fun, friendly and such a lovable family. They are a family that loves to take walks with their dog, Cody, stay active, watch sports, and sing – well mom that is. I am sure beautiful little Kaley will follow suit along mom 🙂

We met at Stoney Creek’s nature center. Which I love shooting at because it provides great scenery and isn’t loaded with a lot people who almost always stop to watch a family being photographed, which almost leads to kids melting down because people are staring at them! Which, let’s face it – I avoid that at all costs! There is great trails and lots of room to run and grab different shots. It’s perfect and the colors were starting to turn here too!

For our shoot, I brought my good ol fashion radio school flyer wagon which Kaley just LOVED along with a few vintage chairs I had recently picked up at a fabulous antique show.  I was able to work in the props and the outfits they chose, which really made for some amazing photos. Kaley is at a tough age to photograph and props are key to make sure kids are happy for the short period of time we are together and you can tell we got some great shots of Kaley.

It truly was an awesome photo shoot. And if any of you are considering a family session or are prepping for an upcoming session, heed the words of Rachel. “Communicate with your photographer so you are getting exactly what you want,” she says. Solid advice!!
