There’s something so special about a baby’s first milestone session—especially when it’s their very first time in front of the camera. Sweet little Lucy recently visited me for her 6-month milestone session, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect evening.
Her mama was brand new to my business and shared that she chose me because of the soft, natural style of my editing, the layered textures in my work, and the best part—she didn’t have to stress about planning outfits. As a busy mom, that meant everything to her. I brought along a curated selection of beautiful, handmade outfits from my client wardrobe, and she admitted she had a hard time choosing because she loved all of them (the best kind of problem!).

This was Lucy’s first professional photography session, as her family didn’t have the chance to schedule newborn portraits. So, her mama knew she wanted something truly special. She envisioned golden hour light and tall grassy fields—and that’s exactly what we created. To add a little extra magic, I brought wildflowers from my own garden to tuck into the grasses, giving us that whimsical, enchanted look that worked beautifully with the soft light.

Lucy arrived full of smiles and curiosity. She was absolutely radiant, and despite the late summer humidity and a few persistent mosquitos, we captured some truly beautiful portraits. Her happiness was infectious, and you can just feel the joy in every image.
